Uncharted Seas
The Uncharted Seas
The Uncharted Seas is a fast paced, action packed game of naval tactical combat set in a world of high fantasy. Using superb resin and white metal miniatures, and controlled by fast and easy to learn rules, the game allows you to wage war with fantastical squadrons of mighty warships.
Choose from one of several races, including the Iron Dwarfs with their steam powered ironclads, Orc Raiders with their grotesque machines of war, the ever powerful Dragon Lords, an ancient race of magical seafarers, Imperial Humans hell bent on grabbing as much land as they can and the Thaniras Elves with their sleek ships of war.
The whole premise of The Uncharted Seas rules is deliver a fun and fast game. The aim is to have a game finished within in 1.5 to 2 hours – or longer if you want to play multiplayer games or use much bigger fleets.
The decks of cards (given away with each fleet bought) play an important role in the game, but you can play without them. Our recommendation is that you DO use the cards as they add a wonderful colour to game proceedings and a certain fog of war.
IN SUMMARY
The game is, we believe, hugely good fun to play. You can get up and running quickly, the rules do not have any grossly overcomplicated mechanics to confuse or befuddle you and the models look great! More upgrades are planned, and this includes models such as submarines, war platforms, troop ships, Dreadnoughts, Airships and so on. We’re also working on a supplement to the core rule book that supports all of the new models that are coming out.
Welcome to The Uncharted Seas – we’re happy to have you onboard and also eager to hear from you about what you are playing, how you are playing, how you paint your figures and anything else you fancy dropping us a line about.
RULE ERRATA & ADDONS
There will be times when we spot errors in our rule book or simply add new rules that we think enhance the game. We will provide these inside two date stamped PDFs that you can always download from this page or from our Downloads page. The files are currently being compiled and we will add them shortly.

So far we have seven races released for the game: Dragon Lords, Imperial Humans, Iron Dwarves, Orc Raiders, Thaniras Elves, Shroud Mages and Bone Griffons. The links below give more information about the various races. We will also be releasing add on ships for each race, and at times this will mean we will introduce new rules for you to download for free. Examples here include Flying Models and Underwater models which require additional rules ansd can be found as PDFs in Downloads
Dragon Lords
The Dragon Lords consider themselves the true rulers of The Uncharted Seas. A deadly foe, these warriors are a force to be reckoned with as they traverse the waters in ships made from living wood and sails hewn from the skin of dead dragons.
Imperial Humans
The Imperial Human Navy has at its core five great houses: Corvinus, Tepes, Arkos, Dragutin and Vaka. Hell bent on expansion, the Imperial Humans vessels are majestic as they sail to war.
Iron Dwarves
Short, mean and the masters of engineering! That's what the Iron dwarves are all about. Massive ironclad vessels with huge cannons sail the seas, their mighty cannons pounding their enemies until nothing remains of their ships. A fleet if these ships are an aew inspiring sight.
Thaniras Elves
The only thing worse than a Thaniras Elf is an angry Thaniras Elf! Beautiful, sleek ships strike with speed and precision. There is nothing soft and fluffy about these Elves!
Orc Raiders
Ugly, scary and deadly... and that is just the ships. Orcs in the Forbidden Isles are rather unpleasant warmongering killing machines. We're not talking dumb brutes here though. Orcs are cunning and full of guile. That said, they like nothing more than a good scrap.
Bone Griffons
This once proud race was afflicted by an evil magic that over the centuries destroyed its people. But death was not to come for these people, instead the withered bodies of this once great empire would sail the waters of the Uncharted Seas in search of life to exterminate.
Shroud Mages
When the Dwarven race split in half many centuries ago the artisans of steam shunned magic. But those that continued to embrace magic renamed themselves and left the Old World behind. Now known as the Shroud Mages the hearts of these dwarves are almost as dark as their magic.
