The Directorate have a penchant for naming their ships in a way that leaves you fully aware of an individual ship’s intent. So when a Dreadnought comes along called Persecution…well you have to know pain is coming your way.

As you can see the hull is holding a classic Directorate large vessel design, but with an elongated front section that houses the power plant for its larger, front firing weapon system.

When placed next to a Judgement Class Battleship for scale comparison the Persecution certainly holds its own. Volume wise the vessel is intimidating to say the least…and can lay down withering firepower around its arcs, the targeting crews in charge of the weapon technologies looking for enemy vessels to disintegrate.

A massed array of weapon systems festoon the underside of this Dreadnought, including the Directorate’s newest weapon system, the Kessell HLC Accelerator. The scientist behind this weapon, Dr Angustine Kessell, was tasked by fleet commanders with designing a “weapon system that can bring the enemy to its knees…crippling core systems…” The HLC Accelerator is yet to be used in a military engagement, so we will have to see whether the Dr achieved his goal. If not, well Directorate retribution for failure can be swift!
