Iron Dwarves

The Iron Dwarves are short, fierce, shun magic and have truly mastered the art of engineering. With steam power under their control, the Guilds set to exploring, becoming the first to send out fleets from the Old Kingdoms to the Uncharted Seas.

The massive ironclad ships of the Dwarven Kingdoms make them ideal for combat, their angular bodies able to deflect enemy weapon fire. However, it is the harnessing of black powder, allowing the hurling of explosive projectiles through the air, that makes these ships truly awe-inspiring.

Iron Dwarves - Chainmail Class Flagship

Iron Dwarves - Chainmail Class Flagship

The Dwarven Artisans of War have improved upon the standard Battleship hull, adding a deadly ram to the front of it along with a fore-firing battery of rockets and a rear mounted turret. The result is a floating death machine named the Chainmail Class Flagship designed to hand out pain to the enemy!

Iron Dwarves - Chisel Class Destroyers

Iron Dwarves - Chisel Class Destroyers

The Chisel Class Destroyer can serve alongside larger ships as an escort, but are also perfectly suited to hunting on their own, armed as they are with powerful front mounted cannons and long range rockets for thinning enemy crews before they can close to boarding range.

Iron Dwarves - Anvil Class Heavy Cruiser

Iron Dwarves - Anvil Class Heavy Cruiser

Following on from the successful invention of the rotating turret, the Dwarven Masters of Engineering opted to add the deadly device to their newly-built Anvil Class Heavy Cruiser. This decision was to see a machine of war arrive that is a worthy addition to any fleet.

Iron Dwarves - Dead Eye Tarlson

Iron Dwarves - Dead Eye Tarlson

The classic Iron Dwarf is indeed short, but they are in no way comical, or simply a stumpy figure sporting a spiky helmet and a big, bushy beard. Instead, they are wily, fierce warriors who have mastered engineering and black powder.

Dwarves are renowned for both their quick temper and their skill with black powder-based firearms, and their leaders are often very well dressed! Armour is commonplace, with breastplates worn by soldiers who have been deployed as part of a Naval Shore Party.

Here we have Dead Eye Tarlson from the Kullorian League. His name is a bit of a joke amongst the dwarves of his Shore Party, due to him only having one eye, but he is a crack shot and rarely misses with his custom-made pistol.
