Fast Action Fantasy Naval Game
The Uncharted Seas is a fast and furious game of naval warfare in a time of fantasy heroes. Set in a dominion known to seafarers as the The Shattered Isles, all of your favourite old world races (Orcs, Dwarves, Humans, Elves and others) have encountered new warlike races, such as the menacing Dragon Lords and the Vosk.
As you command your battlegroup of warships you will wreak havoc on your enemy with shot & grape, unleash powerful magic spells to smash their ships, avoid reefs and monster infested waters, do battle on land as you capture islands and fortifications and much, much more. The Uncharted Seas is in need of brave commanders... are you such a soul?
At the core of the game are a fast play set of rules that are supported with decks of Game Cards that make every game different. Each race has access to its own deck of 26 Race cards and through the use of these cards players can change the fate of a battle!
Ship reference cards aid the game play and allow players to quickly and easily get on with the game. All you have to do is choose one of the four initial fleets – Iron Dwarves, Orc Raiders, Dragon Lords or the Human Imperialist Navy – and you are ready to set sail in a world of high adventure...
Each fleet is very different to the next, needing to employ varying tactics to win a naval engagement. The core building block of a starter fleet is the Battlegroup which breaks down as follows: 1 x Battleship, 3 x Cruisers and 6 x Frigates. How you expand your fleet is up to you. Everything is points based and if you wanted to fight your opponent with 4 Battleships it is up to you, but chances are they will attack you back with 8 Cruisers and 12 Frigates!
New ships and fighting vehicles are already in development and these include airships, submarines, dragon ships, floating gun batteries and many other designs. War awaits you - you just have to choose a fleet.
Quick Introduction
The races of the Old Kingdoms discovered and colonised a vast new continent and in time the ‘New Kingdoms’ were born. In-fighting, racial hatred, treachery and war were as commonplace here as they were in the old lands that they had left behind. Nothing, it seemed, was that different. But this was to dramatically change when these races encountered the Dragon Lords.
A race far older than even the Elves, the Dragon Lords were the true masters of battle and magic. How the war started no-one can be sure, but one thing was certain: no one race could face up to a Dragon Lord fleet or army and survive. Wherever they appeared, death was soon to follow. The carnage that ensued from the first attacks by the Dragon Lords was terrible, entire towns and their inhabitants eradicated. Iron and Wood smiths worked night and day under the command of the greatest engineers to harness technology, nature, and magic into floating weapons of war.
Our game begins with fleets battling for control of key land masses - and fighting to survive! As you can see from our map below there is plenty of land and resources, but the aggressive nature of the Dragon Lords, linked to the fact that every race is fighting the next, makes The Uncharted Seas a dangerous place.
Our full colour rule book has a detailed breakdown of the early years of the conflict and in the months following the release of the game we will populate this web site with scenarios, addendum rules, downloads, short stories and much more to aid your gaming.
